Pixelmator problem

Had a pretty unfortunate first experience with Pixelmator today. I’m hoping it’ll be able to replace Photoshop (and its massive pricetag) but if that’s going to happen it’ll need a working eye dropper. This thread explains the problem, unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a fix in the pipeline. I’m also not convinced by the interface, the toolbar icons are really hard to see against the dark background. Better start saving I guess…
